Supporting the Veteran Community

Two organisations in the electorate of Mayo have successfully received grants under the Federal Government’s Veteran and Community Grants program.

The Returned Services League Echunga Sub-Branch has successfully been granted $3,054 to help purchase security grills and air-conditioning and the Strathalbyn and District Legacy Widows Club has been granted $3,855 for a public address system to assist with Club activities.

Veteran and Community Grants, an Australian Government initiative, supports the activities of veteran communities. The program aims to promote the quality of life of our veterans by encouraging them to live at home and independently. It  further supports the work of carers and the important role they play.
