Today in Question Time Wayne Swan could not explain why Labor is spending $350 to install a set top box when retailers can do the same thing for less than half that amount.
Just like pink batts, green loans, school halls and computers in schools, this latest overpriced spending program is yet another example of Labor’s addiction to debt and deficit.
It proves that this Labor Government cannot and will not ever manage money properly.
How can Labor say with a straight face that this program is value for money when Harvey Norman is offering the same thing for $168?
Kogan Technologies chief executive Ruslan Kogan was quoted as saying “We estimate the $308 million scheme could be completed for only $50 million.”
If there is a government that can find a way to waste money, it will be this one.
It defies belief that a government can be this incompetent.
